A complete no show for yesterday’s Daily Power Stat as Simple Joys never really got involved and Cathy Gannon couldn’t have done anymore to get our mount up to the line. We move on swiftly and it’s off for a bit of jumping in Wales. The penultimate race at Bangor sees 7 runners go to post to run over 3 miles. The trainer under the spotlight today will be Nicky Henderson.
Henderson comes here with a 33% strike rate although the level stakes profit is actually a minus £5.10p. We’ll forgive him that though as he travels just over 150 miles to saddle the one runner. That runner will be General Miller in the 5.10 at Bangor.
General Miller comes here from having been pulled up last time out where he was travelling well. The race before that saw him win by 6 lengths and in fine style too. He’s carrying top weight but with the more than capable Nic de Boinville piloting who claims 5 lbs he looks to be off a winning mark. I’ve priced him up as a 3/1 shot so the 7/1 available with BetVictor looks too big to me.
